Jersey Stat Trac (JST) for Ice Hockey was developed for use of Youth hockey up through college hockey. JST is designed to quickly and easily to collect data and stats while watching a live game. In doing so, coaches can have access to stats at the end of the game or by period if they wish. But more importantly at the completion of a game the stats no longer have to be transferred off of shot charts, turnover charts, Goals, assist, etcetera into a data base or spread sheet for analyzing and using as a teaching tool. Jersey stat will allow you to email the games stats directly to any email address while also converting them into .CSV format. When opening the game file as an attachment in the email it can be simply saved as a spreadsheet file. There data can be sorted in any manner you wish. Totaling team and individual stats for Shots on goal, Turnovers, Plus/minus, Saves, Goals, Blocked shots, Penalties, Body checks, Assist, and Face offs results. JST allows you to set up your players in the data base ahead of game time. It Includes Team, name, jersey number, Position, and line. It also lets you activate players with an easy check off list of players that are dressed for the game. This limits the number of player numbers listed during game time to only those that are playing. Keeping track of the games played by the players. This makes it easier for the stat keeper to find the player on the pad when recording stats. Up to 5 teams can be set up in advance if you re keeping track of stats for more than one team. During game set up you can set up the rink in JST to match the offensive and defensive ends of the ice for your team. You can change this by period when the teams change ends. JST tracks goals, assist, during the game or you opt to enter them after the game off the score sheet to assure an accurate match at game end. Also on ice players for plus/minus stats can be tracked by entering the player s jersey numbers during recording goals for or against. JST shot tracker keeps track of who getting the shots for your team and the total. It also keeps track of your opponents team shot totals. Saves for goalie stats are also recorded by a simple touch of the screen after touching the screen for a Shot. The save button simple records a save for the goalie being shot on. Certain automation assumptions are programed for shots and saves depending on where in the Rink diagram you touch for the shot origination. This stream lines the process. If you choose to record goals during the live action and not after the game the program allows for changes at the end of the game. Having coached for many years, and being responsible for transferring stats off of paper charts, and trying to interpret what the stat keeper did, or trying to read their hand writing, this App has saved countless hours and frustration for me. This is my favorite part of the program. Simply emailing it to yourself or whoever you want puts the stats into an excel spreadsheet. So instead of spending time entering stats you can go right to sorting and analyzing the information that will help you with your next practice plan targets.
